Welcome to the internet home of my feathered family! My interest in birds started when I was 8, I got my first parakeet a budgie that was green with a yellow head. I named him Larry Bird. He lived until he was 10. My mother fostered my interests in animals by getting me fish, guinea pigs, dogs etc. I remember going on vacation and catching lizards, turtles, crayfish and toads, basically anything I could. I worked at a pet store in the early 90's called the Pet Centre. That was where I first saw Lady Gouldian Finches, how beautiful they were. I was in a small house at the time but I knew I would have to get some when I could house them properly. I worked at a veterinary clinic soon after that for 8 years and ran across a lady that bred a few and she sold me my first pair. But they came in so many colors I had to have more. I went to a bird show soon after that and got into the more expensive mutations. That was 8 years ago and I still have to say they are my favorite bird. After going to different bird shows I realized how much I really loved the birds and slowly acquired Parrotlets, Cockatiels and Lineolated Parakeets. I started handraising pets for people I knew and soon I started selling a few here and there. I usually only have one clutch at a time of babies so I can handle them and keep them tame and sweet til they find their new homes. I ask all new bird parents to keep in touch and email me pictures of my babies, happily in their new home.
