Lineolated Parakeets are a fun little bird with lots of personality. They make great pets and do have some talking ability. They have sweet little voices and for the most part are not to noisy. The do have two issues the pet owner needs to be aware of before purchasing. First there nails grow at a fairly fast rate and need to be trimmed often. If not they can be caught in toys or bars of the cage and they can rip a toe and bleed to death. Secondly the seem to have a less firm stool than most birds which can mean more of a mess when handling. These are two things that should not keep you from owning one as their personality more than makes up for it. I feed them Zupreem Natural Parakeet pellets, Safflower Cockatiel seed and fresh foods.
